SLICK® LIGHTERS' FLAME HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT

If a SLICK® lighter doesn't appear to work, it most probably only requires the flame height to be adjusted.

PLEASE REFER TO THE FOLLOWING STEPS:

1- Hold the lighter upside down.
Under the lighter, the adjustment valve is combined
with the refill valve. (Left on picture 1).

Please note:

  • The flame height adjustment notch is used to increase or decrease the flame height
  • The refill valve is where you insert the butane gas to refill the lighter

2- Use an adjustment key or a small screwdriver to adjust the flame height by turning towards either the plus (+) or minus (-) sign.

Please note:

  • If the flame is too high, then turn towards the minus (-) sign
  • If the flame is too low or the lighter doesn't work, then turn towards the plus (+) sign (picture 2)

3- Make sure to adjust the flame height slowly, as the mechanism is quite precise.

IMPORTANT:

When a lighter is out of gas, before refilling the lighter, you need to adjust the flame at the minimum.

Once the lighter is full, you can than slowly readjust the flame strength to where you would like it to be. This will allow the mechanism to adjust with the new pressure in the lighter.
