Before returning a lighter as defective, please follow these 2 simple steps.

STEP 1: Make sure the SLICK® lighter is well adjusted
This is important because if the flame adjustment is too low on the lighter, it will not work and will appear defective. Simply increasing the flame height on the lighter will make it work perfectly.

Also, please note that when the temperature is really cold, Torch lighters will sometimes need a small increase in the flame adjustment to work properly.

If STEP 1 didn't work, please proceed with STEP 2.

STEP 2: Make sure the SLICK® lighter is properly refilled with gas
This is important, since if a lighter is out of gas, it will not work and will appear to be defective.

STEP 3: If STEP 1 and STEP 2 are followed and the lighter still doesn't work:
Please keep the defective lighter and give it to your SLICK® Service Representative during their next visit to your store. He or she will credit the defective lighter.
